By the plight of his sight, through the pit in his wit, he saw no hope ahead; then turned his head once right in want of life which fits. He turned it once more left: the grass greener, the sky more blue. Nothing but sighs back front of him is left, along obnoxious fits which mix what’s wrong with right among the grains of dread through the pit in the wit and more plight in the sight.

Towards the Sea

Towards the sea, we go to reconcile the beats of our hearts with the synapses of our brains upon the repetitions of waves. I still remember the fragments of the blue sky or was it those of water? ordered as an unsolved puzzle on the sands inside my hourglass. Those tiny fish swimming through my fingers reminded me of hopes flowing in between prison bars. In the blurred horizon, a lonely island submerged eager sailboats for a moment before the wind sent his lifelines. As of the outlines, a frame of mountain wood conjured spirits of childhood beneath the printed rainbow of umbrellas. My thoughts were jumping like a hedgehog in a side-scrolling video game in which I am the start you are the end and the beach the background.

It was another night, and I was standing as usual in the narrow street during my night shift, doing nothing but singing the few soothing songs that I memorized especially to help me pass the time. Gluttony's subtle teeth consumes the very balance among us -- guile. Lords control the motions of our presence, in chorus, agile. Universe of mortal souls indulging in excess on bogus isles. Trifles tease the emotions of our insolence with false smiles. Ticklish thorns pierce the soul of innocence into crass exile. Our most precious things, in their essence, render us fragile. Ten Years Ago!

Ten years ago, I had nothing to do with arts except as a consumer. But it was that year when I started experimenting with photography after getting my first mobile phone with a built-in camera. That was probably my first photograph, taken around 2003, with some artistic merit in it (in my opinion). The cheap effect and HDR imitation were added later just before submitting it on dA.

I know I am late, but I just wanted to take the opportunity to share why I like deviantArt so much. I've known this website from 2005, and has been enjoying looking at the great artwork on it since then. Only in 2007 I felt that I can join and maybe put some of my snapshots and doodles on it. It is almost 6 years since I've been here as a member, and I think I've improve a lot, thanks to the influence of all the artists here. There's still a long way ahead for improvement, yet what really matters to me is the feeling enjoyment, and for that, the almost daily dose of deviantArt is still the primary source.
